I believe every film has its own story to tell and deserves a unique approach and visualisation.
My attraction to film comes from its power to communicate in a universal language. Enriching the story visually with a specific emotion, background, style or form both inspires and challenges me. I love to cross borders, both literally and creatively. And communicating in languages such as English, Spanish, German or French delights me. My goal as a cinematographer has always been to look beyond the horizon and to show different perspectives.
I graduated the Netherlands Filmacademy in Amsterdam in 2001. Since then, I’ve been working as a cinematographer on feature films, documentaries, shorts and commercial work both in the Netherlands and abroad. I’ve added international education to my CV by following a film course at the EICTV in Havana, Cuba. I am a member of the Netherlands Society of Cinematography since 2009. I work as a photographer as well. I was nominated for my cinematography of the feature The Judgement at the 2021 Netherlands Film Festival.
